By downloading, installing, or using ReadBlock ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ReadBlock is a mobile application that provides:

• An EPUB book reader for viewing digital books
• App blocking functionality using Apple's Screen Time API during reading sessions
• Reading progress tracking and statistics
• Scheduled reading session management

3. Screen Time and App Blocking

ReadBlock utilizes Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to block selected applications during reading sessions. By using this feature, you acknowledge:

• You must grant Screen Time permissions for this functionality to work
• You are responsible for selecting which apps to block
• Blocking may affect your ability to use certain apps during active sessions
• You can modify or disable blocking at any time through the App or iOS Settings
• We are not responsible for any consequences of blocked app access

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for its intended purpose
• Only import books and content you have the legal right to read
• Not attempt to circumvent or manipulate the App's blocking features
• Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by ReadBlock and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Books and content you import into the App remain your property or the property of their respective copyright holders.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• App blocking will work in all circumstances

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READBLOCK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or content
• Inability to access blocked applications during emergencies
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReadBlock and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
